Kaang Chin New Testament book
In the year of our Lord 2000, the Kaang Chin people began to work to translate the Bible into their native language. This has been a very difficult and long process fraught with many obstacles, but God has been faithful to complete the work of translation and printing the New Testament, and for this, we rejoice.
A core group began this work twenty years ago, and, since that time, several of the original members of the Kaang Chin Bible Translation Committee have died and several new members have joined to help us complete the work. Our prayer is that by 2004 we will finish an entire Kaang Chin Bible, including all sixty six books of the Old and New Testaments.
Throughout this process, we were unable to obtain financial support and many times we were greatly discouraged and tempted to quit.
By God's grace, in June of 2019, Foundation Church of Mount Sterling, Ohio and its mission organization, Mission To Myanmar, learned about the translation work and agreed to sponsor the printing of this New Testament. They are also committed to helping finish the work on the whole Kaang Chin Bible.
Our Christian brothers and sisters of the Covenant Presbyterian Church Denomination, as well as many others throughout the world partnered with Foundation Church to help organize and fund this wonderful work.
For many years of dedicated and sacrificial service, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Kaang Chin Bible Translation Project Committee and we ask you to join us in prayer as we continue our work completing the whole Bible.
